Cost  for a leaking water main or replacement 
Expect to pay somewhere between $3,500.00 and $12,000.00 for a repair or a 1" copper new depending on your location and the specifics of your home’s layout.

  • A number of factors will cause the price of a water main installation to increase.
  • Ease of access: any obstructions to the water main such as trees will add to labor costs, which already comprise the bulk of the expenses.

Sewer main cost for repair or new
It could cost anywhere from $4,000.00 to $25,000.00  I know...that's kind of a big rang.  Here are a few of the main factors than can affect your price. 
                               
  • What is the distance of the city sewer from the building where the sewer line is being replaced?
  • the work required in the roadway is very long and will take two days to complete.
  • the house is set far back from the property line or on a hill which result in more than one day to replace the sewer line on the property
  • The average city sewer is approximately 4' to 6' deep.  If the sewer is deeper than this, it may require additional days to excavate,shoring, locate and replace the sewer line

We recommend that if you have a sewer main issue
  • Have the line snaked if this failed
  • Have the line inspected with a camera and make sure the company is equipped with a line tracer to mark the exact location of the problem ( be sure they provide a dvd and a mark it at the location with green spray paint ( if the company does not have this equipment use one that does )

  • IF THE ROAD HAS BEEN RE PAVED WITHIN THE LAST 5 YEARS AN INFARED ASPHALT PATCH WILL BE REQUIRED AT A $95.00 SQFT PRICE
  • DGA FILL COST ON AVERAGE $85.00 TON A TYPICAL 5'X5'X'5' TRENCH  WILL REQUIRE 6 TONS
  • FILL REMOVAL CAN RUN $95.00 A TON, IF CONTAMINATED CAN COST AS MUCH AS $300 A TON
